Contemporary Sculpture in the Botanical Gardens

The original developer of the Botanical Gardens added a number of contemporary sculptures – featuring representations of birds, reptiles, fish and animals. These have been kept in place and are part of the Gardens history. Some are listed below. Come and search for more of them and their locations!

“MONKEY ROCK” – replica monkeys sit and play on a large rock. A whimsy.
Location: at the entrance to the Rainforest Conservatory/Butterfly Garden, close to the Herb Garden.

“WADING BIRDS” – contemporary metal sculptures.
Location: in the river

“ANIMAL FANTASIES” – contemporary renderings of turtles, animal sculptures in concrete and stone, at various locations scattered through the Gardens..
