The Botanical Gardens of Nevis were rescued from potential housing development in December 2008 by Nik and Christi Douglas and their associates. Since then, much effort and expenditure has gone into the management of the living plant collections, restoration of the Rainforest Conservatory, refurbishment of the buildings, water courses, and support facilities, as well as on additional new features.
The Botanical Gardens are now fully open again for visitors to enjoy. Proceeds from admission fees, Garden activities and events, go towards maintaining the Gardens and keeping them open to the public. There are a variety of ways in which you can help to support the Gardens to keep the doors open to the public.
